I won’t lie, with the little ones, we didn’t plan on catching the Festival of Fantasy Parade at the Magic Kingdom while we were there.
The parade comes at the time of the day when we should be out of the parks and running for calmer/cooler waters.
As we headed for the front gate of the Magic Kingdom, to catch a bus back to the resort to rest and swim during the heat of the day, we popped in and out of The Emporium to look at the toys and realized that the curbs of Main Street USA were packed with people. It was parade time!

Outside the Emporium, the curbs were filled, we noticed across the street was mostly empty.

So, we found some empty seats on the street in front of The Confectionary.

Yeah. There was a reason that side of Main Street was empty. The clouds parted and the sun was beating down on us.

We sweated through it, and it’s Disney – so it was still fun, but it was HOT.

My tip… squeeze however you can on the shady Emporium side of the street for the midday parade!
If not, hey, some things are worth melting for…
Do you stay for the parade or leave and refresh? Emporium or Confectionary side? Share with me in the comments below or on Instagram and Facebook.
Cheers,
