Welcome back to DADventure Disney’s round table of some of my favorite Disney Fan Parents on Instagram.
Every week, I work alongside this merry band of Disney fan parents to find our Top 10 favorites in all things Disney. See ALL our lists by clicking HERE!
This week, the group consists of these Disney Parent Panelists:

Our topic this week: Top 10 Favorite Things To Do With Dad In The Disney Parks
This weekend is Father’s Day! So, Happy Happy Father’s Day to all your Disney Dads, Uncles, Grandpas, Fur Dads, and Father Figures out there!
We all know that many of us, especially if you’re following the Disney PARENTS Panel have kids and enjoy our times in the parks with them. But what, especially, do we love to do with Dad by our side?
10 of us put our heads together and came up with our Top 10 Favorites! We came up with over 35 different things – so there’s a LOT to do with Dad!
Take a look at our list and then hit the comments. What do you do with Dad? If you ARE Dad, what makes it special to do with the kids? Let’s get the discussion going.
Here’s the list. Enjoy!
Take Silly Photos
Top 10 Score: 1.90, nominated on 3 ballots.
When you become a Dad, it comes with an unofficial guide to bad jokes and silly faces. Or, at least is SEEMS that way.
What better place to take a silly photo than at Disney? Whether it’s a funny candid shot, a PhotoPass pic or one on a ride camera – they always seem to capture how much fun we’re having with Dad.
Catch a Parade
Top 10 Score: 1.90, nominated on 2 ballots. 1 first place vote.
Everyone loves a parade and the ones in Disney are the best of the best.
What’s the best seat? VIP Seating? FastPass section? The shady part of the street?
Best seat… always… on Dad’s shoulders of course!
Take a Nap
Top 10 Score: 2.20, nominated on 3 ballots. 1 first place vote.
You’re running 12-14 miles a day. Dad is carrying you, pushing your stroller, or lugging around all your stuff.
Give the guy a rest! Let him grab a nap in your room at the resort, or in a hammock or on ride like Spaceship Earth! 🙂
Top 10 Score: 2.40, nominated on 5 ballots.
Dad’s eat. It’s in our DNA.
The BEST Snacks are at Disney. Mickey Pretzels, Popcorn, Corn Dogs, French Fries, Nachos and so much more!
Galaxy’s Edge & More
Top 10 Score: 2.50, nominated on 4 ballots.
Star Wars was already a part of Disney for years. THEN, Disney bought Lucas Films and we all dreamed of what that could mean.
Galaxy’s Edge met all Dads’ dreams. We get to walk in the movie, be a character, talk to Stormtroopers, high-five Chewbacca, fly the Falcon and so much more.
Even recent, when only Disney Springs is open, the Star Wars feel is still there!
Take Dad to Galaxy’s Edge and let him be a kid again.
Top 10 Score: 2.70, nominated on 4 ballots. 1 first place vote.
The best part of being a Dad… the kids. So, let them plan the day! Or, have a Dad-only date with them.
If you’re local, or having a big trip and can spare the time, let Dad have some time by himself with each kid, or all the kids, or even part of a day with them.
Top 10 Score: 3.10, nominated on 4 ballots.
Once your done with the savory snacks – time for some sweets and what Dad doesn’t love his sweets?
Disney has some of the best! Churros, Mickey Bars, Rice Krispies Treats, Candy, Cupcakes, Cookies and sooooo many to choose from! Sit and share some with Dad… or be smart and get Dad his own so he doesn’t eat all of yours!
Have a Drink
Top 10 Score: 3.30, nominated on 5 ballots. 1 first place vote.
Dad deserves a special adult beverage after a long day in the parks. Find a cool spot to sit down and let Dad bend his elbow a bit.
One of our favorite things to do: Drink Around The World at Epcot!
Top 10 Score: 3.50, nominated on 5 ballots. 1 first place vote.
Disney Fireworks make everyone feel like a kid. The lights, the music, the projections, the overall feeling of magic.
Dads love to share these memories with the kids, and just like the parade, there is no better spot to watch them than from Dad’s shoulders.
Top 10 Score: 8.70, UNANIMOUS NOMINEE! 4 first place votes.
You asked him to take you on Little Mermaid, Frozen Ever After, Prince Charming’s Carousel, Winnie the Pooh and it’s a small world.
Now, let him take you on the rides he loved growing up. Get on Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, Splash Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain.
Soon, they could be your favorite rides, too.
Don’t forget to make the goofy faces on the rides when you do!
What do you do with Dad in the Parks? What is his favorite ride, snack or sweet?
